I can't believe our little man is already turning 1! This year seems to have gone by in a blink and he is turning into the most incredibly smart and curious toddler.
Aaron and I were both able to take the day off of work to spend with our little man and my folks who are living the retired life also joined us to celebrate the day. We had originally planned to go the The Children's Museum where they have this fancy bubble exhibit...but of course Mason's birthday had to fall on one of the three days that they decided to close for a remodel, so off to the zoo it was.
He loved the animals and riding on his grandpa's shoulders and enjoyed his first Dippin' Dots! After the zoo we grabbed a quick bite to eat at The Cherry Cricket and off to Build A Bear for Mason to create his own little buddy. My hope is that this will be his last and favorite stuffed animal...oh the space they take up!
He loved all the stuffed animals at Build A Bear and had the hardest time choosing between the buffalo (YAY!) and a puppy. After lots of pointing at each animal he finally chose Bow Wow, his new puppy. It's great - he now brings Bow Wow and his other stuffed animal, Buffalo with him all over the house. He really enjoys stuffing the two animals and himself into his new Little Coupe and roaming all over the house - it's adorable.
We decided to do cupcakes today, as he will have a big cake at his party on Sunday. He loved it!
Yay - so excited to see all of the new surprises that this year will bring!
Yummy!
