I wish I was able to keep on top of blogging - however...I forget. Now that Spring is here we have filled every weekend with too much! Here's a little catch up since the last post:
Last weekend was the March for Babies walk. I was asked to chair the walk this year...and I had said yes, not realizing how much work and time would be involved. The good news, is that even though it was exhausting - it was amazing and one successful event! We had around 5,000 people in Civic Center Park with awesome entertainment, food and fun...not to mention we helped raise over 1 million smackaroos! They've asked me to chair the walk again next year...however, I am definitely going to take some time to think that one through.
We are currently relandscaping our ENTIRE yard - both front and back. Sod arrives next Saturday and the weekend before last we put in a full sprinkler system...thanks family for the help!!! This week looks like flagstone laying and re-rototilling to prepare the soil for the new sod. We did get koi and goldfish into our pond in the back - as soon as I can get a good photo of the fish, we'll post it. Mason LOVES feeding the fish and skimming out the leaves, he could honestly spend minutes (I wish I could say hours...but let's be honest he's 1 1/2) watching the fish.
We are still in the midst of turning our storage room in the basement into a playroom for all those toys that seem to multiply like rabbits. That means...full on electrical, drywall, flooring, lighting...the demo is done for the most part. The next step is moving a full electrical box, thank goodness for the electrical engineer ;)
We also had one fantastic Easter - celebrating holidays and creating traditions with a toddler definitely brings out the excitement and the amazingness of everything new!
The Grandpas loving the festivities
So excited!
The Goods...
The big Easter gift...more just an excuse to get Mason his first bike!
Easter Best :)
