A Year of Dates

For a Christmas gift this year, I put together a year full of dates for my two boys...and this past weekend was the kickoff to all the fun.  Nothing too crazy, just two special days every month to spend together as the three of us and a well-deserved date with my husband :)

Thanks to my brother and his awesome girlfriend - Aaron and I were able to head out to dinner and a movie.  Sadly, I am pretty sure we only make it to about one movie a year in the theaters...BUT I think this year we might double that number.

For our family date, we headed over to the museum to check out the IMAX's Deep Sea 3D film.  Holy cow did Mason love it. There were amazing jelly fish that he kept trying to pinch and even a few fish that he thought he could reach with his feet (luckily no one was in front of us).  His favorite were the sea turtles and the crazy fish who clean their shells.  It was a 40 minute film and he was able to sit through the entire thing without fidgeting at all...and he kept those darn 3D glasses on too!
