Mason's newish career choice has been a doctor/cowboy...so we decided to take this little cowpoke to the National Western Stock Show and check out his possible future. I'm hoping that when he is big enough I can get him in the lottery for the mutton bustin!
As we were driving to preschool, the morning of the BIG DAY, Mason asked me if I could please remember to bring all of our money to the stock show...of course, I ask why and the little man's response is that I will need it in order to purchase him a horse.
Welp, we narrowly escaped that huge expense with an adorable cowboy hat (even steam fit to his noggin) and a lasso...whew. We had a great time and the lasso was put to great use wrangling the ever-unruly Uncle Jimmy.
These goats were PUSHY!
After walking through all of the cattle and horse stalls (and everyone sneezing A TON) we decided that there might be a few downsides to being a cowboy...
We didn't end up checking out the pro-rodeo, but instead went to the Super Dog show, which was pretty entertaining for Mason.
